So, after a few weeks of a "Closed For Vacation" sign on the door of my favorite neighborhood Jamaican joint (no pun intended), I happened by this weekend and noticed that the small restaurant had been emptied out and had a "For Rent" sign was hanging in the window.
I guess Rocco (from NBC's The Restaurant) was right about one thing - when a restaraunt says "Closed for Vacation," it's never going to reopen.
On the other hand, I did find 2 new neighborhood restaraunts this weekend. One is Bar/American food with a patio and the other is a Steak/Seafood place. Hopefully, they'll help to ease my pain as I mourn the end of cheap and convenient beef patties and coco bread.
